For developing the department of Youth Education, SHL is looking for a highly motivated

Project Coordinator

The main strategic goal of the Youth Education department is creating competences for an effective engagement of BiH youth and professionalization of youth NGOs by offering innovative forms of informal education in relevant political and social topics for them to actively participate in BiH society. According to this goal, the Project Coordinator should further develop existing educational programs, build up new networks and strengthen already existing cooperation with partners.

Responsibilities:

• Strategic development and content shaping of the Youth Education Department and Youth Training Center,

• Conceptualization and analysis of  seminar contents, acquisition of trainers and participants and their coordination (process planning, reporting and evaluation),
• Updating and creation of youth and trainer networks,

• Public advertising of seminars including field work promotions,   
• Under overall supervision of SHL Sarajevo Programme Manager, financial planning of the Youth Education Department including all connected tasks and educational activities,

• Close cooperation with other SHL departments  as well as other NGOs and institutions,
• Together with SHL-house colleagues, coordination of seminar logistics (booking and reservation.

Requirements:

• Minimum of two years experience in the field of non formal education of youth, youth workers and teachers  (experience as NGO trainer would be an asset),
• Experience in evaluation processes in non formal education
• Experience in field of democracy and human rights
• Office skills (computer skills, handling office equipment, administration, finances etc.).
• Excellent knowledge of both spoken and written English or German language,
• Experience in working with young people and good communication skills,
• Motivation, independence and ability to work in a team,
• Willingness to learn,
• Interest and ability to work in a multi-national/ethnic environment,
• Valid driving license and willingness to travel.

The position is based on a 40-hour working week and can be filled in July 2015.
