Youth Exchange and Fundraising Coordinator

Responsibilities:
International Youth Exchange BiH-Germany:
- Creating, planning, organizing, and implementing the international Youth Exchange Program;
- Regular cooperation with the SHL office in Germany;
- Evaluating program processes in cooperation with SHL office in Germany;
- Ensuring activities, budget, resources and objectives of the international Youth Exchange Program are met;
- Drafting and development of the materials relevant to the Program (booklets, manuals, etc);
- Program promotion and advocating for Program’ goals;
- Communication with third parties and evaluation of their needs and requirements (donors, ministries of education, school teachers, and students in BiH);
- Creating reports, analysis and interpretation of data on a regular basis;
- Securing adherence to organisation policies and guidelines.
Fundraising:
- Continuous development of concept, ideas, and projects in accordance with the organizational mission and vision;
- Identification and building relationships with potential donors;
- Developing and updating materials necessary for grant submissions including concept letters and project applications/proposals;
- Developing materials (mail-shots) for direct mailing to reach a range of potential and current donors;
- Risk analyses and balancing time-cost ratios to focus effort on the fundraising activities that are most appropriate and will have the highest chance of success;
- Writing reports and developing presentations to communicate fundraising program data;
Requirements:
- Minimum two years of experience as a coordinator for youth exchanges and fundraising, or in a similar position (preferred in NGO sector);
- Accountability and adherence to deadlines, as well as ability to simultaneously work on multiple projects / tasks;
- Organizational skills, self-initiative, tenacity, accuracy, reliability, and flexibility in work;
- Ability and willingness to work with young people;
- Experience in fundraising and budgeting;
- Experience with project cycle management;
- Experience and willingness to work conceptually and strategically;
- Experience as a participant in an international youth exchange program (short or long-term) is advantageous
- Good administrative skills;
- Interpersonal and communication skills, independence, and ability to work in a team;
- Knowledge of data analysis procedures and proficient user of MS Office;
- Valid driving license and minimum of two years driving experience and disposition to travel frequently within BiH;
- Interest and ability to work in a multi-national/ethnic environment;
- Knowledge of spoken and written English (minimum B2). Knowledge of German language is advantageous.
- Proficient knowledge of BHS languages (eliminatory).
The position is based on a 40-hour working week and can be filled asap.
